Fail: 6 Exercises, Battle Rope, Full Body

You just finished tying your shoes.

As you take another sip of water, your eyes slowly speak to my mind.

“I can’t do it.”

I understand what you are going through.

One of my students hosts an awesome hot yoga class.

Because I am always curious, I asked if I could join. She said yes, I paid, and booked it.

During the session, she had everyone engage in a couple of exercises, all together 5 or 7 times.

Downward-dog with a four-limbed pose, a plank, and back into a chaturanga.

(sorry if i forget the exercise titles and routine)

Not only was I unsuccessful in achieving it.

Looking in the mirror, as I fell down every single time, “comfortably” is not the word I have for every individual executing the exercises. “Relaxed” and “powerful” are some of the terms that pop up into my head.

Since I was the only person not able to stretch, breathe slowly, and hold my body up.

She continued talking to the class.

Made her way towards me.

Used her hands to help my posture and gave me great tips.

Every fiber of my human nature wanted to say, “I honestly can not do it. Today I failed.”

However, I remember one theme from a podcast my colleague gave us.

In any walk of life.

Any time your inner and quiet voice says...

Someone has an opinion that you…

You think you…

Failed.

I want you to view “fail” through the lens of: First Attempt In Learning.

Once you have solid knowledge of your artistic, cooking, yoga, marathon, financial, or courage  muscles.

You can chunk it and take it one step at a time.

Everything is obtainable if you pivot and change your perspective on what failure really means.

Learned behavior through muscle memory.

It will strengthen your ability, you will have a huge advantage, and the wind is at your back. ✌🏾
