Know Yourself
I’ve been looking for you.
Your body language tells me you want to improve.
Everything you achieve starts from understanding yourself.
You’re unique, smart, driven, and attractive.
Also, you’re better than you think.
How?
Drawing from all the knowledge I have...
(mentors, doctors, teachers, books, seminars, courses, being a client, having students, making a lot of mistakes, and a few successes)
...I would try to look inside your mind and think I have a good guess.
But a “good guess” does not complete your equation.
I realized that “thinking” doesn’t truly tell me anything about yourself in order for you to achieve your outcome.
Currently, I give my students a worksheet that reveals what they're thinking under the surface.
Perhaps, it doesn’t mean much because you want to take action.
Which is awesome, bytheway.
However, it is the raw ingredients and foundation of how to make a better version of yourself.
The worksheet requires you to trigger some interesting thoughts.
When completed you define your goals, it gives you purpose, motivation, and will unlock deeper levels of drive within yourself.
From my observation, everything changes.
Life gets exciting and really rewarding.
Without this, you would lose your sense of direction, lose your identity, feel not sure of yourself, and forget about the end goal you had at the beginning. It’s like driving on the highway with your handbrake on.
The old method is “hope”.
They give you instructions and wait for you at the finish line.
All this leads to dependency.
Our simple method is to “guide” you.
There is no such thing as a wrong one.
You may work in ways that are not yours.
In order to find out what’s holding you back, we use feedback analysis.
The presence of feedback gives you self awareness and works with all the circumstances you have.
At the beginning of the week when your schedule is mapped out...
1. Write down what your expectations are.
2. When the week is over, compare the actual results with your expectations.
(you will actually be impressed. you are a lot better than you think)
3. See where the gaps in your skills and knowledge are.
4. For next week, we will fill the gaps so you can build and strengthen it.
(the key to iterate and improve is to focus on 1 or 2 things each week)
5. Repeat the process (feedback loop -- start from #1) until you reach the finish line.
Health and fitness is like the lubricating oil of a successful organization.
Simple things like “train more than you did last week”, “drink more water”, and “change your breakfast to a healthier choice”, will give you a positive body, mind, and emotion equation.
Your passion and tastes make you different.
Which is what makes you special.
Once you fully understand how you tick, you will feel comfortable and have confidence which will lead to compliments.
You can channel your energy to have a breathtaking journey.
I’m right behind you and there to guide you.
Have the courage to reach out and grab it.
