Start small.

Maybe tiny if your personal commitment, work pressure, and family stress is huge. 

When you begin... 

...thinking about big goals, doing everything, and motivation is misleading.

It will hurt.

You won’t like it that much and you will forget about your goals.

Here’s the truth: motivation is in short supply. 

We all don’t have it.

Especially at the times when we really need it. 

Having intense focus, every hour, and straight out of the gates, is... 

...impossible.

It’s completely normal.

The key in taking on anything big or something meaningful in your life, is to start small.

If you make a commitment to start small, you focus on one thing at a time.

Everything is the same.

However, everything you do is much more clear.

You have no complexity in your calendar.

You gain momentum and make progress towards your goals to see it to the end.

Let me give you some examples to cement this point.

“Each shower I’m going to add 2 seconds of cold water to wake me up and increase circulation in my body.”

“My rest is 60 seconds. I’m going to rest for 45 seconds next week.”

“Next week I’m going to add 1 rep on my sets.”

“I’m going to focus on my breathing during every session and visualize that my form will be 1% better every rep.” 

“I ran for 10 minutes. Tomorrow I’m going to run for 9.5 minutes and finish at the same distance.”

Starting small... 

...which will flow throughout your daily routine is self discipline. Making a microscopic adjustment will give you endurance, skills and excitement because you see the results. 

I know it’s weird, but that motivates you. 

Starting small is the heart of everything.

It will pay back dividends and is a great investment.

As an owner, boss or employee, everyone looks at time differently.

By doing one of these examples or any other example, you can accelerate your timeclock. 

Small. Not big.

One. Not everything.

Progress. Not perfection.

Accountability. Not solo.

Self discipline. Not motivation.

Do more with less, wins the day.

So, who is the boss?

Your mind.

Doing small things is self discipline, which is like a mental muscle. 

After a while of doing the small things, mentally you get stronger.

It creates confidence and you start to believe in yourself.

A small, simple pivot will change your attitude and make your schedule, nutrition, workouts, and happiness a whole lot better.
