Control The Boat
Before the break, I was talking to a wonderful student and her mom.
To be honest, I was trying to calculate all the words. In hindsight I wish I wrote it ALL down. It was very basic and casual conversation for them. However it was great knowledge and wisdom for me.
With the covid-19 pandemic, this theme applies to everyone.
Every culture.
Every society.
Every country.
Every single human in the universe will have to RESPOND to the weather course and condition.
Let me explain and give you some clarity.
One of my sisters and mom are teachers and they had to respond.
More online education than ever.
More zoom, skype, facetime than ever.
More google docs, google sheets, google slides, google forms that ever.
A lot of the stores had to respond.
More lines than ever.
More masks than ever.
More “make sure you wash your hands” than ever.
Whenever you’re trying to control your boat, you can’t predict where the wind is blowing. However, you can change the sails and make sure that you’re in the flow that will get you towards your goal.
Before the covid-19 pandemic happened, I also had to respond.
All my students are unique.
All my students have exercises, food, music, indoor versus outdoor workout, my mood, time they workout… they liked or didn’t like.
All my students were motivated in very different ways.
I had to iterate to make sure we get them to focus on simple actions that create big reactions to make each person special.
I confess I made a lot of mistakes. It’s extremely hard to row the boat when the current and channel is going against you. It doesn’t matter how hard I try.
But...
Somehow true great masters can steer any boat.
Steer the way he or she thinks.
Steer the way other people think and are living in harmony with an amazing life.
I learned and grew from the couples I trained.
At times, they can't foresee the future.
Yet they still have a great vision that will get them from where they are now…
To where they truly want to be.
With the weather, markets and health issues…
It probably makes sense to stay right where they are.
However, in order to live in peace, harmony and setup and structure their journey, they...
1. Stay calm.
2. Find out where the wind is blowing.
3. Adjust the sails to respond to the weather conditions.
I found out that they are happy as they are inline with their purpose and they are in full control of the boat towards their destination.
