If It Doesn't Make Sense... That's Awesome!

One of the biggest problems ambitious students face is inefficient.

They’re skilled.

Have all the knowledge in the world.

Clear goals are committed to paper.

The best tool is all they know.

Yet…

They work too hard, don’t focus on the main thing and are not driven to their full potential.

One of my mentors said, I have to “clean up my thinking”.

At first I was mad and keen.

(...like we were playing chess and my next move was to checkmate his king.)

However, I was there to absorb and acquire knowledge.

I said, “Ok. What more videos, books or activities should I complete.”

(...his next move, hit me in an area I didn’t see. The whole time he was winning and I didn’t know. He got deeper and more in depth into the soul of the chessboard. My mentor clearly played the ultimate game of chess.)

He said, “Arthur, technically your tactics, skills and processes are amazing. But think of your body as a bucket. All the water you’ll pour into your bucket leaks. It’s because you have a lot of holes on the bottom of your bucket. In order to strategically and mentally have a perfectly balanced bucket, you have to tape the holes and drip not pour more water. Meaning, achieve more by doing less.”

(...my mindset shifted.)

I’m revealing this conversation, because I’m a guinea pig and have been in the trenches.

You’re amazing.

Driven.

Worth it.

Beautiful and...

I don’t want you to make these mistakes again.

Learn from my failures, so your journey will have a lot less bumps in the road.

Release all the baggage and together we can hit your desired results, fast.

Regardless of your previous experience…

There is always room to get better.

Whatever skills or abilities you’re trying to hone, you have to take stuff off your plate, in order to improve and become everything you truly want to be.

In essence...

If it doesn’t make sense to you, right now…

Consume the information.

Implement the action items, and

...your outlook, attitude and way of thinking, will eventually get “it” and you will finally understand.

How can you achieve MORE by doing LESS?

After a while of doing anything…

Things get sluggish and more complicated.

Whenever this happens, you have to keep it SIMPLE.

It’s extremely effective but most people ignore this stuff because they think it’s not important.

Imagine you have 2 buckets.

A perfect bucket and a leaky bucket.

Perfect bucket…

There are times where you properly manage all the water in your bucket.

For example…

Be disciplined on 1 or 2 core elements for a week.

Tape the holes at the bottom and remember to only focus on the amount of water that is needed to make sure your bucket is flawless.

Water may be, TRUST the system.

Once you trust the system (execute your personalized workout and nutrition plan) your CLOTHES will feel much better.

Water may be, TIME.

Once you confirm and book your workouts in your calendar, and know exactly what you are going to eat (beforehand) you will have more CONFIDENCE the night before.

Water may be, your ENERGY.

Once you make sure you sleep or meditate, your personality and performance will give you more COMPLIMENTS from people who love you and the world.

Leaky bucket…

All the water you're constantly pouring in.

All the trivial actions that you're not aware of.

All the holes you’re not mindful of.

All your trust.

All your time.

All your energy…

Goes down into the sewer or will drown you.

It’s difficult and stressful.

Sometimes you’re on a treadmill and I don’t want this to happen to you!

In order to make your journey more fun and simple, I have 5 p’s to help you.

(P)olaris north star.

What’s your goal?

You have to figure out what you want, to get what you need.

(P)lanning.

What things or actions will make this work?

(P)atterns.

What behaviours had happened when you tried this before?

(P)rioritize.

From all the actions that will make this happen, what are the number 1 or 2 things that are needed to do right now?

(P)reparation.

Before you’re ready to go to bed…

1. Clear your mind.

2. Write and focus on tomorrow’s actions.

The battle is won before it’s fought.

Drip — don’t pour your water if you want a perfect bucket.

Meaning, you can win the day if you plan ahead.

Because I want you to optimize for efficiency and you'll be on the path towards your destination…

Start training yourself, to ask yourself this question in the mirror, every morning…

“What bucket are you?”
